Trust & safety
Hiring safely on CrewFlash
CrewFlash is a marketplace. We help you describe a job and reach up to five independent local businesses — the rest, including meeting, hiring, the work itself and payment, happens directly between you and the business you choose. Here is what that means in practice.
CrewFlash connects — it does not do the work
Every business on CrewFlash is an independent provider running its own company. CrewFlash does not employ, supervise, direct, dispatch, control or subcontract them, and does not perform, inspect or warrant any work. Scope, schedule, price, payment method, permits and warranties are agreed directly between you and the business.
What a verified badge does and does not mean
A verified badge means CrewFlash has checked identity and contact details only. It is not a check of licensing, insurance, bonding, certifications, background history, workmanship or safety. Ask each business for its own license and insurance documents and confirm them with the issuing authority before hiring.
You choose who to hire and who to meet
Compare profiles, reviews and written quotes. Ask questions in CrewFlash messages first. You decide whether to invite someone to your property, and you are responsible for that decision and for anyone you allow on site.
Safeguard your property and information
Secure cash, keys, prescriptions, jewellery, documents and small valuables before anyone arrives. Have another adult present when you can. Keep pets and children away from work areas. Share your exact address only when you are ready, and never share passwords, bank logins or one-time codes.
Get it in writing, then pay as agreed
Ask for a written estimate covering scope, materials, timeline and total price before work starts. Be cautious with large up-front deposits, pressure to decide immediately, or requests to pay off-platform in a way that leaves you no record. CrewFlash does not process payments and is not a party to your agreement.
If something goes wrong
Disputes about work, damage, loss or payment are between you and the business, and are resolved directly or through the usual channels available to you — your own insurer, the business's insurer, a licensing board, a consumer protection agency, or the courts. In an emergency or if you believe a crime has occurred, contact local law enforcement first. You can also report a business, customer, job or review to CrewFlash from its page, or block someone from contacting you. CrewFlash can remove content and suspend accounts on its platform, but cannot recover property, award compensation, or resolve disputes between users.
